Social media provides us with the platform to speak out and express ourselves. Once our accounts and published content are well targeted, our content will be commented on by people from all over the world. So we get the opportunity to learn and communicate with each other. But the information on social media is one-sided, and many people judge by the small amount of the true information. Then some harmful comments are irrelevant to the facts and leave the person being criticized vulnerable. The reason for this is that the comments are unfiltered, but the information is indeed filtered because often, in order to gain people’s attention, some media reports will misrepresent the facts.
The benefit of PLN being more diverse and inclusive is that it allows us to reach a broader and larger audience as well as enrich our content. We need to consider its accessibility, as well as race, gender age and disability. Because it is now a diverse world, our content needs to be updated according to the times. Most of our social phenomena and some academic studies are now all-inclusive because the way we get information has started to become diverse and our readers are very diverse. In order to better present our content and the information we want to share and learn, we need to make our content easily accessible and appealing to a wider variety of people.
