Social networking is a way for us to communicate with others. Other than face-to-face communication, social networking will allow people to communicate with each other with much less restrictions. Social networking is now also a way to learn. PLN allow us to continue learning when some unexpected situation occurs.

The motivations we use are: government and educational institutions are slower to update than the web. And the way of delivery can be limited. For example, the current epidemic has made a lot of face-to-face instruction difficult. So the alternative to face-to-face instruction becomes online learning. Professional networks can also serve as a means to continually support lifelong learning for professionals in practice and through social interaction with others to share.

In the network era control must be absolute. One or a few mistakes can result in information being leaked and shared with the public. Data is persistent, reproducible, searchable and scalable. The network is now a very important part of people’s lives. People use it all the time. We are putting more and more of our personal information on the network. If there is a need for greater privacy protection, we need to develop models that put networks, groups, and communities at the centre of our discussions.
